#4 you're ahead of your time
a weekly newsletter to stop you feeling bad about where you are in your life
Good morning!
I’m about to head to CrossFit and I’m feeling so connected to my mind, body, and soul. You know that feeling when everything just aligns? It’s the best. Last week was crazy busy—I barely had time to consume any art as I was consumed with work. I was doing shoots non-stop, including driving a van around London in my bra with my face on it! Iconic much?
But last week was one of those weeks that reminds you why we do this work. You know what I mean? When everything aligns—passion, connection, and creative purpose—and your heart feels so full because you're doing what makes you feel alive. The week started with some tough news, but I dusted myself off, leaned into all my shoots, and slowly, I felt like me again. It was a gentle reminder that, no matter what we’re going through, we all have a big and full life waiting for us to embrace.
Or as I like to say, ‘Thank God, we don’t bloody look like what we’re going through!’"
This week’s moodboard:

How to be a Mysterious Woman who is also in bed by 9:30 - Emily Menez.,The New Yorker
My Monday look: Jumper from COS, skirt from ASOS, and my Paula babies in patent red by Sézane.
My favourite clutch bag by Seletti x Toiletpaper a birthday gift from my bestie, it gets so much attention!
An exhibition celebrating 100 years of Black British music at The Barbican runs until 19th July (I’m going this afternoon, I can’t wait!)
Need I say more?
Here I am, on a van in my bra, driving around London—how iconic with Curvy Kate! What an empowering experience!
A huge thank you to my gorgeous friend Seda for this delicious book about my favourite drink: the Negroni. Did you know that 'sbagliato' actually means 'mistaken'? The person who created the Negroni Sbagliato made it by accident—it’s a Negroni with Prosecco on top!
"I haven’t listened to Laura Mvula’s debut album Sing to the Moon in full since 2013—around 7 or 8 years ago. Rediscovering her music now fills me with so much joy and hope, and it makes me feel positive and dreamy all over again.
Please excuse any typos, it’s 6:30 AM and I am in desperate need of some coffee eek!
Have a great week,
Jackie x
